Melbourne Express bids farewell!
After a brief but impactful run, the Melbourne Express is closing its doors. Launched in February 2001, the free newspaper served commuters at railway stations across Melbourne.
Though its time was short-lived, ending in September of that same year, the Melbourne Express left its mark. Its final edition even included a playful nod to science fiction fans with a reference to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”
We at The Melbourne Express are sad to see the Melbourne Express go. Though its circulation may have been brief, it undoubtedly brightened the commutes of many Melburnians. We honor its contribution to the city’s media landscape.
